Caleta de los Loros is a coastal site in the Argentine province of Río Negro, within the Patagonian region. It is located along what is known as the Ruta de los Acantilados o Camino de la Costa (Route of the Cliffs or Coastal Road), a scenic route that connects various points of tourist interest, among which this cove stands out for its rugged appearance and ecological value. It is part of the protected natural area Caleta de los Loros, created to preserve the biodiversity of the region.

Access is via Provincial Route 1 made up of gravel and sand. About 113 kilometers from the town of El Cóndor a short road branches off and leads directly to the cove. Upon arrival, the first thing that stands out is the vast flat surface that stretches alongside the sea. It is a solitary place where you might only come across a passing tourist, and where no kind of service is available.

For those interested in observing wildlife, this place offers a good opportunity to spot birds typical of coastal environments such as gulls, terns, sandpipers and other species. In addition, since it is surrounded by a largely untouched natural setting land animals can also be found along the access roads and in areas near the coast.

IMPORTANT: This area is characterized by being covered or uncovered by water at different times of the day depending on the rise and fall of the tide. For this reason, it is recommended to proceed with caution and stay within the dry coastal areas, where the water does not reach even at high tide.
