Image: Lake Perito Moreno Oeste
Information
It is a large lake near Bariloche, belonging to the Nahuel Huapi National Park. One characteristic is that it is divided into two parts called Lake Perito Moreno East and Lake Perito Moreno West, which are separated by a narrow pass with a bridge over which a paved road known as 'Circuito Chico' passes.
There are several ways to access their shores:
- Lake Perito Moreno West is surrounded by the 'Circuito Chico'. When this road crosses the Llao Llao Municipal Park it has some exits to its shores, as for example in the Sendero de los Arrayanes (a trail) where there is an access to its shores with a picnic site.
- At the bridge that divides both sides of the lake (east and west) there is a descent to a beach.
- On the shores of Lake Perito Moreno East is the town of Colonia Suiza, which has a public beach.
