Antonio Esteban Agüero Dam

Information

It is a dam located in the province of San Luis, on the course of the Grande River, which is its tributary and effluent. It is in the middle of a mountain environment. The locality of Río Grande is located in its vicinity, and it is also close to El Trapiche.

To get there, there is a paved road along Provincial Route 9 that leads to the dam after 800 metres. This road, always paved, crosses the wall of the dam and has viewpoints with good panoramic sights. Afterwards you can continue along a scenic 45 km mountain road to the Nogolí reservoir.

On the first stretch of the Grande River that leaves the dam, there are picnic spots and descents to the river (you have to take a dirt road with bifurcations, so it is advisable to carry a GPS with maps previously loaded).
