You can get to the city of El Bolsón in the province of Río Negro by different means of transport:
1. By bus: there are direct buses from Bariloche and Neuquén. To come from Buenos Aires, normally you have to take a bus to Bariloche and from there change to another vehicle to El Bolsón, but in high season it is convenient to check if there is a direct service.
2. By car: the city is located on National Route 40. This road goes north through the Nahuel Huapi National Park and leads to San Carlos de Bariloche. To the south it passes through El Hoyo, Epuyén and the outskirts of Esquel. It is worth mentioning that this route is long and continues both to the north and to the south of the country, allowing you to reach other important tourist destinations in Patagonia as well as in the west and northwest of Argentina.
3. By plane: daily flights arrive at Bariloche airport (136 km away) from the city of Buenos Aires and some days (to be confirmed) from Córdoba, El Calafate, Mendoza, Rosario and Viedma. Esquel airport (144 km away) is served by flights from Buenos Aires some days of the week. Take into account that in El Bolsón there is an airport 3 km away that may have flights in some seasons.
