Information

There are several public beaches about 5 km from Tulum, all with white sand. In some of them there are some restaurants and places to have a drink.

To get there from the centre of Tulum, take Route 307 in the direction of Playa del Carmen, and after 3 km there is a road on the right that leads to the ruins. When you reach the archaeological zone, instead of entering the ruins, take the road to the right. After 700 metres the accesses to the beaches begin, where the first one is Santa Fe beach.

Bear in mind that, depending on the season, there may be seaweed on the beaches. Although many people do not like the presence of this algae because it does not look good aesthetically, it is good to know that it is something naturally produced and it is not rubbish or urban waste. Always ask if the site is suitable for bathing.
