Information

It is a protected natural area of 1226 hectares located 27 km from the centre of Bariloche and 800 metres west of Puerto Pañuelo. It is an ideal place to be in contact with nature. It has trails through the forest, viewpoints, beaches on Lake Nahuel Huapi, a shore on Lake Perito Moreno, the Cerro Llao Llao (a hill) and the lake Escondido.

The entrance to the protected area is on Provincial Route 77 about 800 metres from the access to Puerto Pañuelo, where there is a park ranger's hut, toilets, a place with picnic tables and signs indicating the park's attractions.

If you continue along the same paved Route 77, you can access the different attractions of the park, and there are signs indicating each one of them. This entire route would be part of the well-known 'Circuito Chico', which is the name given to this section of the road. If we take as kilometre 0 (zero) the beginning of the park we can see:
- Kilometre 0 (zero): start of the Sendero de los Arrayanes (a trail), which begins at the entrance to the protected area.
- After 400 metres is the access to the Sendero Cerro Llao Llao y Playa Tacul (a trail).
- Km 4.5: access to the Sendero Bahía de los Troncos (another trail).
- At km 5 there is a stretch with viewpoints, from where there are panoramic views of López Bay and Lake Nahual Huapi.
- Km 6.3: López Bay, with its beach. Right there is the start of the Sendero Brazo Tristeza (a trail).
- Km 8.4: access to the López stream and its path.

To get to the entrance of the protected area from the centre of Bariloche:
- By car: it is about 26 km along the paved Exequiel Bustillo Avenue, which becomes Provincial Route 77.
- By bus: the line number 20 comes from the bus terminal and the city centre, and leaves at the entrance of the park.
