Information
It is a protected area that occupies about 6700 hectares. It is undoubtedly a great place to get to know the Sierras de Ventania (a mountain chain).
It has 2 different entrances (sectors), both on Provincial Route 76, each one with trails and attractions to visit:
a) Cerro Bahía Blanca base sector: there you can do:
- Cerro Bahía Blanca (a hill),
- Claro-Oscuro trail.
b) Cerro Ventana base sector: there we have:
- Cerro Ventana (a mountin),
- Garganta del Diablo trail,
- Garganta Olvidada trail,
- Piletones Naturales trail.
Some more information:
- You need at least 3 days to visit most of the attractions of the park.
- Take into account that in order to do the activities, some of them require an entrance fee, while others are free.
- The last time I was there, in October 2018, in the case of the ascent to Cerro Ventana and the Garganta del Diablo trail, it was mandatory to do them with an authorized guide from the park.
- At the base of Cerro Bahía Blanca there is a canteen and a grocery store where you can buy food and drinks.
